IBSA Foundation for scientific research

IBSA Foundation for scientific research was established in 2012 in Lugano. It is the pillar and main promoter of the IBSA Group’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities. IBSA Foundation supports scientific research and promotes dissemination through education, art and science, culture and health activities.


Its vision is “Going beyond treatment”, with full awareness of the importance of the benefits of combining participation in cultural activities with treatment paths.
Its mission is to promote an authoritative and accessible scientific culture through science communication, membership of an international network, and support for research.

Among other initiatives, IBSA Foundation promotes high-level forums with internationally renowned scientists, and devotes resources to establishing Fellowships and scholarships in various fields of basic and clinical research.

IBSA Foundation for children and the IBSA Primi Passi Nursery

IBSA Foundation for children

The Foundation manages the IBSA Primi Passi Nursery, a day-care facility for 30 children from 4 months to 4 years of age that was set up to provide a tangible response to the needs of both employees working at IBSA sites in Ticino (Switzerland) and the local population.

Foundation for the management of the Social Security Fund for Personnel: founded in 1958, well before it was obliged to do so by Swiss law, its aim is the pension fund assets’ management of IBSA employees in Switzerland. The social security services offered are superior to those required by Swiss law for company pension funds and guarantee employee’s financial peace of mind during retirement and in the event of health-related problems.
